Resumen
La iglesia-ermita es un testimonio valioso de la ciudad de Cehegín, porque es de los pocos edificios de tener la suerte de haber salido sano y salvo de numerosos acontecimientos que han sucedido en la historia de España, desde los conflictos bélicos del siglo XVI hasta la Guerra Civil. Por ello, es un edificio en el que el paso del tiempo ha ido dejando su huella, convirtiéndola en un edificio que muestra la pluralidad de nuestro pasado. Así pues, en el artículo iremos desarrollando su construcción y las motivaciones que lo rodean, para terminar con las últimas intervenciones en favor a su conservación.

Abstract
The church-hermitage is a valuable testimony to the city of Cehegín, because it is one of the few buildings lucky enough to have emerged safe and sound from numerous events that have taken place in the history of Spain, from the wars of the 16th century to the Civil War. For this reason, it is a building on which the passage of time has left its mark, turning it into a building that shows the plurality of our past. Therefore, in this article we will develop its construction and the motivations that surround it, to finish with the latest interventions in favour of its conservation.
