Resumen
El presente artículo se centra en la descripción del peculiar escudo de Cehegín, contrastando las diferencias de este en el siglo XVIII y en la actualidad. Además da significado a sus distintos elementos, haciendo hincapié especialmente en el ciprés. Para finalizar expone el origen y simbolismo de la bandera tricolor del pueblo.

Abstract
This article focuses on the description of the peculiar coat of arms of Cehegín, contrasting its differences in the 18th century and today. It also gives meaning to its different elements, with special emphasis on the cypress. Finally, it exposes the origin and symbolism of the town’s tricolor flag.
