Resumen
En 1997 se descubrió que la Iglesia de Santa María Magdalena de Cehegín, de gran relevancia para el patrimonio artístico de la ciudad, estuvo en construcción durante 122 años, ya que problemas económicos retrasaron su edificación, lo que hizo que hubiera diferentes arquitectos encargados. Fueron Francisco Bastida García de Alcaraz y Joseph García de los últimos arquitectos de la obra.

Abstract
In 1997, it was discovered that the church of Santa María Magdalena of Cehegín, with a huge relevance for the artistic heritage of the city, was under construction during 122 years, because of economic problems that delay its construction. For this reason, there was diferent principal architect. Francisco Bastida García de Alcaraz y Joseph García were two of the last architect of the building.
