Resumen
El hidalgo Martín de Ambel vivió en Cehegín en el siglo XVII, algunas obras han sido ya escritas sobre la vida de este hombre, que han caído en el olvido en su mayoría. La historia es peculiar, y no es común que se dé en un pueblo como Cehegín. El personaje en cuestión nació en tiempos de Felipe II pero desarrolló su vida a lo largo del siglo XVII, al matar en duelo a Don Alonso de Góngora se acogió a sagrado y vivió el resto de su vida encerrado en la iglesia de la Concepción. Ahora que se pretende realizar una historia del pueblo de Cehegín surge el problema de la reconstrucción realista o la novelización de los hechos.

Abstract
The nobleman Martín de Ambel lived in Cehegín in the seventeenth century, some works have already been written about the life of this man, most of which have fallen into oblivion. The story is peculiar, and it is not common for it to occur in a town like Cehegín. The character in question was born in the time of Felipe II but developed his life throughout the seventeenth century, when he killed Don Alonso de Góngora in a duel, he accepted the sacred place and lived the rest of his life locked up in the church of La Concepción. Now that it is intended to carry out a history of the town of Cehegín, the problem of realistic reconstruction or novelization of the events arises.
